Aramex and Kuwait Customs Agreement

Finally, Aramex have come to an agreement with the Kuwaiti Customs regarding the clearance charge that was announced last week. I got email from Aramex about the new update on the agreement made.
Here is the Email send today by Aramex regarding the agreement:
Hello Shop&Shippers!
We understand it’s been a rough week for all of you, but finally, Kuwait Customs’ policy has cleared up, and we’re happy to say that online shopping is about to become more fun than ever!
So here’s the bottom line: regardless of the goods value, all shipments are subject to customs clearance. We’ll clear all shipments in one bundle, and pay the charged customs duties accordingly. You read correctly; it’s on us!
In this case, you will only endure the following charges:
- 1 KD handling charges
- 5% of order value for Kuwait Customs duties (applicable only to orders valued above $100 USD)
However, self-clearance option is no longer available for our customers. You can contact us at [+ 965 1 820011] for further details.
Happy online shopping!
Your friends at Shop&Ship,
I think Aramex found a decent way to rip us off but in good way, i would pay 1 KD + 5% rather than paying 13 KD + 5%.

FYI Aramex did not come to an agreement, this was the situation from the first email we all received from them. Aramex just did a bad job at first to explain the situation and then the rumors escalated.
So in conclusion we did nothing they did nothing but explain what happened clearly.

I agree with you but c’mon 1 Kd plus 5% of the shipment above 100$, they didnt heard of something called personal use, if the kuwaiti customs was afraid that the people will order and sell them in kuwait (What im going to order in 100$) ?
if the took 5% of the bill above 1000$ ok they have the right but 100$ no that lame.
