Our guest today is unique. He’s not a person, not a human, he’s a Teddy Bear. Teddy On The Go is blog where no words you can read or gadget to review. He use the pictures to present the word.
We really admire the blog and the effort made on it. Keep The Good Work Teddy !!
1. Why did you choose (Teddy On The Go) as a name to your blog?
Teddy is constantly moving from place to place. I rarely document the same place twice unless I have to. Therefore, we’re constantly on the go!
2. Tell me about yourself?
I graduated with an architecture degree and during my 6 years of study I developed a passion for photography. We constantly have to document work in my major, which triggered me to experiment with the camera, and I started to slowly establish a style. I believe I found myself in my first Dark Room experience.
3. How long have you been blogging?
A little over a 100 days! I started blogging when I met Teddy.
4. How many writers (Members) in your blog?
5. What kind of category you see your blog in?
Hmm. I could never really categorize it. There are many ways to look at it. Some people know it’s a social experiment, some people see it more as a humanitarian blog (helping causes, raising money), some people might say it’s a photography/art blog. It’s pick and choose really.
6. How did you start blogging?
I have fair background knowledge in it. As an architect you have to discover all mediums of design, not just houses and buildings. I had to do a bit of flash animation, publications, websites and videos to promote a design or project. When I moved back my friends told me a fun way to pass time was to check out blogs, but I thought it would be more entertaining and challenging if I started my own.
7. What was the reaction of the people around you about your blog?
My family never thought it would turn into this. My friends thought it was a phase. A couple of good friends decided to join in and become a part of it for fun. However, none of us thought it would fall into a popular blog category. We thought it would be a personal side project that only a few people would know about.
8. What kind of marketing method you used for your blog (How’s did you prompted your blog)?
Initially it was just the facebook fan page, then people started suggesting I should use twitter, so I did. To be honest the media, interviews and magazines are the best way to do it and I’ve been blessed having them approach me.
9. Do you have any new ideas coming soon to your blog?
Yes. Hopefully if all goes well yearofteddy.com will be revamped and redesigned in time for New Years!
10. What do you advise the guys/girls who just started blogging?
Make it simple. The interface and navigation should be very easy. Everything should be clear and in front of your audience. Don’t make them click too much and always add images. Pure text can be mundane as Kuwaitis in general are very visual people.
11. Any last words to your readers?
I would like to thank everyone who supported Teddy B. All the media, Mix FM, blogs, magazines, events and advertisers for showing interest and making me see something in my blog that I never would have seen. A special thanks to the fans, especially those who comment almost everyday. You guys challenge me to push things to the next level, and I need that motivation in an slow paced country like Kuwait.
